Cambrian Vision 2.1 Update: New Features and Improvements
We’re excited to announce the release of Cambrian Vision 2.1, a minor update that brings some valuable new features and a range of bug fixes. This update enhances the performance and usability of the system, making it even more reliable for industrial applications.
Key Updates in Cambrian Vision 2.1
Improved Calibration with Charuco Board:
One of the most notable changes is the addition of support for the ‘Charuco’ calibration board. This new board offers a more accurate camera calibration and a quicker setup process, making it easier than ever to get your system up and running. While the new Charuco boards will be the default for new systems, the previous calibration boards are still fully supported, ensuring continuity for existing setups.
Filtered Predictions:
Cambrian Vision 2.1 introduces a feature that allows users to filter predictions by visibility and confidence. This gives you more control over the predictions, helping to refine the results. Despite these filters, all predictions are still considered for collision detection with other parts, ensuring the system remains efficient and precise.
Enhanced Prediction Overlays:
We’ve also improved the prediction overlays, which now use expanded colour options to clearly indicate when a part is no longer viable due to grasp points being obscured by other objects. Additionally, the overlays will highlight when a prediction has been filtered out based on user-defined confidence or visibility settings.
This update continues our commitment to improving Cambrian Vision’s performance, making it an even more powerful solution for automation needs.
